I struggled with my identity and my feelings of guilt and shame with sex and kink. Working with Nikita I’ve come to understand and feel comfortable with myself. I’ve learned tools to better deal with the stresses that pop up in life. Thank you Nikita for your help!

As a queer person of color, I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist than Nikita. She really listened and understood my struggles on a personal level. In eight months, I saw hugely positive changes in how I think about sex and my identity within the queer community and beyond.

I am truly thankful to have had a therapist as warm and amazing as Nikita Fernandes! I had the pleasure of working with her for the past year and have learned so much through my time in sex therapy with her. Our time working together has made a huge impact on my life!

Individual Therapy – $175 to $200 per session

Relationship Therapy – $250 per session
(+$45 per additional partner for multi-partner therapy)

Sliding scale – I have a sliding scale availability based on my current caseload and how many people are using a sliding scale spot. I believe that the sliding scale goes both ways as having higher paying clients can help create more sliding scale spots for people that need a lower fee.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept health insurance. However, I participate in out-of-network insurance, which typically covers a large portion of the session fees. I am happy to walk my clients through education around the insurance system and how to get reimbursed.

To learn more about your mental health out-of-network insurance benefits, you could call the number on your insurance card and ask the following questions:

  1. What are my out-of-network benefits?
  2. Do I have to meet a deductible before my out-of-network benefits kick in?
  3. Do I need preauthorization of mental health services?
  4. What is my out-of-network out-of-pocket maximum?
  5. How do I submit a claim after I pay for my therapy session?
